Sandnes Accordion Orchestra:
Sandnes accordion orchestra was established in 2005 and plays traditional dance music, entertainment music and other genres. The ensemble is open to adults over 16, but it is possible for younger people to take part in some projects. To join, it is desirable to have basic note-reading skills. If you don't have an instrument, you can get help obtaining one.
The accordion orchestra rehearses at Vågenskolen.
Sandnes Clarinet Choir:
Sandnes clarinet choir maintains a high musical standard, and members are required to show up prepared for all gatherings during the season. The ensemble plays music from a variety of genres, everything from classics such as Bach to exciting, newly written works. Sandnes clarinet choir is a large clarinet family, and new members will be warmly welcomed.
The clarinet choir undertakes one to two projects a year, and for each project they gather four to five times. Sandnes clarinet choir mainly practices at weekends at Stangeland school.
Participants must have their own instrument and basic skills on the instrument and music reading are required.
